I first read this article about a year ago. It’s thoughtfully written, inspired and (well I feel) spot on. Photoshop is a tool and can be cleverly used, but in no way does it make up for talent. No matter how much you tweak a bad photo or bad design, it’s still bad.
I haven’t read anything better on this topic and can only hope that mediocrity will not prevail and that craftspeople will be properly recognised, valued and rewarded for their outstanding abilities.
